Kira Nerys was a highly influential figure in modern Bajoran history, an officer of the Bajoran Militia and the Commander General of Deep Space Nine from 2375 - 2422. She was key to establishing Starfleet cooperation with Barada Damar towards the defusing of the Cardassian Civil War and a lifelong mentor to Hadron. She died in 2422 of complications from chronic Tralaxian lung disease.

Personality and Appearance[]
A former resistance fighter, Kira Nerys was a firebrand and a tireless leader. She was well-respected amongst her crew and known for an attitude that didn't tolerate foolishness. Though a hothead in her youth, she was known in her old age for her understanding, complexity, and problem solving.
